Lacrosse – Underhand Shooting
This page provides details for shooting underhand in lacrosse. Like an overhand shot, the lacrosse underhand shot allows you to target anywhere low to high in the net without tipping off the goalie. In addition, an underhand shot allows you to potentially escape your defender (by going under his stick) if he is doing a good job defending against a regular overhand shot.
Lacrosse underhand shooting allows for shots such as an elevator shot (low to high) or a “worm burner” (low to low). For instructions on other shooting techniques (i.e. Behind the Back shooting), please visit the main Lacrosse Shooting section.
