Two Hand Wrap Check

This page provide details on how to perform a lacrosse two hand wrap check. This check allows a defender to knock a ball loose from an opponent who is trying to guard his stick with his body.

There is also a one hand wrap check but younger players are usually called for slashing if they use a one-handed check. For other stick checks (i.e. wrap check), please visit the main Lacrosse Stick Checks section.

Tips for Two Hand Wrap Checks

  • Do not restrain your opponent with the wrap check or you will be called for holding. This check is supposed to be a quick strike in order to dislodge the ball.
